1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Day1 application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Salt Brands ("Company," "we," "our," or "us").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Description of Service
Day1 is a personal development application that provides:
- AI-powered coaching conversations across multiple domains
- Habit creation, tracking, and streak management
- AI-assisted journaling with mood tracking
- Guided breathing exercises
- Gamification with XP, badges, and challenges
- Progress analytics and insights
4. Important Disclaimers
4.1 Not Professional Advice
The App and its AI coaching features are for informational and self-improvement purposes only. They do not constitute:
- Medical advice or diagnosis
- Psychological or psychiatric treatment
- Professional counseling or therapy
- Financial, legal, or career advice
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services immediately.
4.2 AI Coach and Third-Party Data Processing
The AI Coach feature uses OpenAI's API (openai.com) to generate responses. When you use this feature, your chat messages and basic profile information (name, age range, goals, habit names) are sent to OpenAI for processing. The App requests your explicit consent before enabling this feature. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models. Voice recordings, journal entries, and habit completion data are never sent to any external service.
4.3 AI Limitations
AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. We continuously improve our AI but cannot guarantee accuracy at all times.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- All payments are processed through the Apple App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
- We reserve the right to change subscription prices with advance notice.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the App or its AI systems
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our consent
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials or promotions
- Distribute malware or engage in abuse of any kind
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Salt Brands and protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the App immediately ceases.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
